It’s a phenomenon that keeps on happening. This time in Tampico, Mexico. Small fish came down with a light rain. It was posted on the Facebook site of Protección Civil Tamaulipas. Here is the picture they posted:
At least this original was confined to a mere short statement with a picture of the fish. The news was of course repeated in the American news sites with the all too familiar ‘scientific’ explanation of unnamed ‘experts’ who declare it a normal phenomenon of a waterspout sucking up selectively one kind of fish out of the water of a nearby pond high up into the clouds, after which the fish floats, all together, for several miles in the atmosphere to then fall, all together, in one spot.
Well, invent the most ridiculous story as a scientific fact, as long as these scientists (or news reporters) don’t have to investigate something that might lead to an explanation that does not fit into their well established scientific framework. Because that might shatter the safe reality they think they live in, and open an awareness of the possibility that someone else is dumping all that fish (and other animals) on our head.
