I grew up in Belgium. In my early twenties I got interested in the UFO phenomenon, among many other alternative subjects. At that time I read one of the books of John A. Keel, the famous UFO writer, who had published his findings based on extensive research in the sixties and seventies.
In 1993, I came to Woodstock, New York. A couple of years later I was siting outside looking over the valley towards the mountains. We have a fabulous and clear view of the mountains to the north. At the top of the mountain ridge is a ‘saddle’ dip. At the left of this dip is the Buddhist Karma Triyana Dharmachakra monastery, now the official North American seat of the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje, head of the 900-year-old Karma Kagyu lineage. The sun had already set and it was dark. Opposite the monastery, at the right of the ‘saddle’, I start seeing some strange lights. They were inverted conical lights of different pastel-like colors. They came up from the ground and were quite large and bright. I didn’t know what to make of it. My first thought was that there was a party going on at one of the houses in that area. However, they looked not like party laser lights; I had seen those before in Belgium. These looked like diverging search light beams, but they were to large for that. That would require large and heavy search light equipment, probably expensive too. Not practical, and who would use that for a display? I never figured out what it was.
A couple of days ago I was reading The Cosmic Question by John Keel. In this book I found out that in the 1970s he was living in Woodstock, NY, of all places! It was here in Woodstock he noticed the same phenomenon I had seen more than 20 years later.
On page 63 he writes:
In May 1973 there was a rash of UFO sightings around the country. Several people around Woodstock, New York, where my mountain hideaway is located, reported seeing luminous green cones hovering in the night skies. Every night at 6 P.M. my television set would hiss and crackle, and the New York station I was watching would dissolve into another image. The call letters of two stations in Miami, Florida, over one thousand miles away, flashed on my screen. When I stepped outside at night, I noted a brilliant display of colored rays in the north. It was obvious that some very peculiar magnetic phenomena were abroad that month causing ‘skip’ signals from Florida and the appearance of luminous objects in the skies. The earth’s magnetic field is probably the culprit in many cases of seemingly inexplicable phenomena. Our planet is pockmarked with magnetic anomalies and aberrations.
I am sure that Keel was right in his assumption. These light cones are the result of magnetic anomalies, probably coupled with electromagnetic upwellings from the earth itself. The lights are just the visible emanations from these EM waves. Many years later I discovered that the location of the lights was on a ley-line. There are also ancient stone cairns and walls nearby on the same ley-line, and I think it is not a coincidence that the Buddhist monastery is also on or nearby that ley-line. You can read more in my article of A Dragon on Overlook Mountain, Woodstock, NY.
At another time I saw a large bright pulsing light dome engulfing our neighbor’s house. Originally I thought it had to be artificial, although not man-made, but now I think it might have been another form of earth energy coming to the surface and emitting a visual bright pulsing light. You can read about it in my article of Large Bright Light Dome over Neighbor’s House.
Most likely these two phenomena are natural earth energies erupting to the surface. It could also be that they are the result of man-made EM broadcasts interfering with natural earth energies. Hence, the call letters from a Florida station on Keel’s TV, and the regular pulsing of the light dome at my neighbor’s house.
Gerry Vassilatos, in his book Secrets of Cold War Technology: Project HAARP and Beyond, 1996, wrote some interesting information in this regard. In his first chapter, Nikola Tesla and Radiant Energy, he writes about Tesla’s Wardenclyffe Tower. The aim was to broadcast power through the earth to any location on the planet:
The system would be designed to absorb æther pulsations at an accessible natural pulse rate, and then disperse this energy through the medium of the earth at several other pulsation rates. Not only was the system to receive prime æther power, but it would also rebroadcast it through the ground in a host of related pulse rates for utility.
Ether waves flowed with superluminal velocity from the station and into the earth proper. These were neutral pressure waves whose instantaneous movement through the ground was slightly slowed by resistance process. A continual lagging backflow of æther ”pressure echoes” appeared at the station with unprecedented force. The application of æther to the ground brought a fountain-like condition to the station area. In the absence of appropriate elevated capacity, æther streams stood out of the ground vertically. These were the ”stationary waves” of which Tesla so often delighted to speak.
Vassilatos explains that these stationary waves created white-fire fountains sprouting out of the ground:
These blasts moved the æther reservoir already absorbed within the earth in an instantaneous pulse, resulting in a sudden aether fountain all around his station. The pulse travelled through the ground, unaffected by its encounter with various rock strata. Nevertheless, when this pulse finally reached a sufficient resistance, or change of mass density, the flow was sufficiently refracted to surge back up toward its source. The effect occurs instantaneously because earth absorbed aether is a dense and incompressible fluid. The entire effect thus derives from refraction effects in the variable resistance of earth rock.
The bunching action of æther, both entering the ground from above, and that rising from beneath, produced an overwhelming pressure rise in a fixed location. These waves were, in the Tesla lexicon, truly ”stationary”. Rising up like a fountain of white light, they remained fixed to the station perimeter and ”stationary”.
In addition, it seems likely that Tesla discovered, natural ”vents” where ”ætheric pressures” persistently emerge. Such natural loci evidence strong upwelling gusts of natural æther which may be tapped at for power. These strange natural features explained why certain locations far from his station suddenly erupted with columns of stuttering white light. Indeed, many such locations do exist across the world, places which flow at rare intervals with a white light. This phenomena is due to sudden natural cascades of space æther, an otherwise invisible downpour.
In other words, some artificial, man-made electromagnetic waves may cause natural earth energies to erupt to the surface and create visible light displays.
